THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE MASKED SINGER SEASON 14!During Care Bears Night, The Masked Singer season 14 panelists, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Rita Ora, guessed that Crane was Fifth Harmony member and solo artist Normani based on her new clue, and they're most likely correct. Crane was introduced on Clueless Night as a Wild Card contestant, during which she sang "It’s Not Right But It’s Okay" by Whitney Houston, and included some dance moves. Since then, she's performed "Say You'll Be There" by the Spice Girls on Spice Girls Night and "Good Luck, Babe!" by Chappell Roan on Care Bears Night, after which she advanced directly to the semi-finals.
The Masked Singer panelists had many guesses for Crane’s identity after her first two performances, including Misty Copeland and Mýa (Robin Thicke), Ashanti (Jenny and Robin), Ciara (Ken Jeong), and Keke Palmer (guest panelist Taraji P. Henson). However, during Care Bears Night, Crane confirmed that Jenny and Robin's guess of Ashanti was incorrect. After her performance, Ken guessed that she was Taylor Swift, but Jenny and Rita guessed that she was Normani, and they're probably right.

During The Masked Singer season 14 Care Bears Night, a new clue was revealed about Crane, which was a football player down on one knee proposing with an engagement ring. After her performance, Crane explained, "Well, I just kicked off my next chapter with a major win. And I couldn't be happier."
This clue all but confirms that Crane is Normani because, in 2025, she got engaged to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf, with whom she's been in a relationship since 2022. A football helmet clue on Spice Girls Night was the first hint about this event.
Other Masked Singer Season 14 Clues That Prove Crane Is Normani
The Masked Singer season 14's Crane's clue packages have had many references to Normani's life and career. The three origami cranes from Clueless Night represented her fellow members of Fifth Harmony: Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregi. Fifth Harmony is a four-woman group since Camila Cabello left in 2016.
Crane also stated that she had to work ten times harder just to be seen, and, at times, her confidence had been shattered. This most likely references how Fifth Harmony was formed on the TV show, The X Factor, after the five members of the group had been rejected as solo artists. However, they went on to become one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
A container of sugar was a nod to Normani's stint as the opening act for Ariana Grande's Sweetener World Tour in 2019, as well as her appearance in an episode of the 2018 YouTube Premium reality streaming television series, Sugar. A giant diamond referred to her song "Diamonds" with Megan Thee Stallion, while a construction hat on a pile of blankets on Spice Girls Night was a hint about Fifth Harmony’s song "Work from Home." That last clue along with her voice was what made Rita and Jenny guess Normani.

In that episode, Crane also mentioned that she's done primetime and film. Normani has appeared in many primetime TV shows, including The X Factor, Dancing With The Stars, Lip Sync Battle, RuPaul's Drag Race, Celebrity Family Feud, That's My Jam, and The Voice (as the season 17 advisor for Team Kelly Clarkson), among others.
Normani was also in the short film, Book, and appeared as herself in the concert film, Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour Live. Her feature film acting debut was as Entice in the indie drama, Freaky Tales. She also contributed music to film soundtracks, including Love, Simon and Birds of Prey.
A train whistle on The Masked Singer season 14 Spice Girls Night referred to Normani winning Best New Artist in 2018 at the Soul Train Music Awards. She also has billions of streams, which were mentioned on Clueless Night.
During Spice Girls Night, Crane paid tribute to her beloved grandmother, who dressed up as Tina Turner for Halloween when Crane was five years old. Normani has spoken about her grandmother wearing a Tina Turner costume on Halloween. She's also called her grandmother her best friend and soul mate because they're very close. Normani's grandmother even competed with her and their family in a 2025 episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
Like Crane, Normani has connections to Janet Jackson, Michelle Obama, Angelina Jolie, and Mel B. Also, Crane ended her Clueless Night performance with a split, which mirrored the split that Normani did at the end of a performance of a medley of "Angel" and "Down" with Fifth Harmony at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.
Although it's still only speculation, it seems that Jenny and Rita have guessed Crane's identity correctly as Normani. Fans will probably have to wait longer to find out the truth because Crane is so talented that she'll most likely soar into the Masked Singer season 14 finals and perhaps even take home the Golden Mask Trophy. Whoever Crane turns out to be, she's been an absolute joy to watch.
